This is an exciting time to join the newest and most ambitious College Group in the country. UCS College Group combines four colleges – Bridgwater, Taunton, Cannington & Strode College to provide exceptional learning opportunities for students across Somerset. Our vision is to transform lives and communities through learning and partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to join us on our journey.

As the Executive Assistant to the College Principal, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of a dynamic and forward-thinking college group. This role is specifically designed to provide dedicated high-level executive support to the Principal of Strode College ensuring the effective management of their priorities, commitments and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring these services are efficient, customer-focused, resilient and aligned with College and UCS College Group priorities, driving continuous improvement, service excellence and effective resource planning.

You will work collaboratively across the UCS College Group to promote consistency, share best practice and support the delivery of high-quality services that contribute to an outstanding experience for students, staff, visitors and stakeholders.

You will demonstrate the values, ethos and principles of the College and wider UCS College Group at all times. The role requires significant interaction with colleagues, students, governors, external partners and stakeholders, demanding exceptional interpersonal skills, professionalism, diplomacy, tact and absolute confidentiality. The ability to lead services, manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships at all levels is essential to success in this role.
