Full job description

Are you ready to join a growing, friendly accountancy firm where your role really makes a difference?

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced, expanding practice as an Administrative Assistant. The role is part-time (15–20 hours per week) and can be worked flexibly across 3, 4 or 5 days, with a hybrid working model.

About us
ST Accountancy specialise in accounting services and tax advice for SMEs. Based in Martlesham Heath, Suffolk, we’re a team of 16 and have grown rapidly over the past few years. We’ve got big ambitions and a clear vision to become the largest independent accountancy practice in East Anglia while keeping the supportive, down-to-earth culture that’s helped us get here.

The Role

You’ll be a key part of keeping everything running smoothly day-to-day, supporting both the team and our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming calls in a professional and friendly way
  • Managing shared inboxes and helping direct queries to the right people
  • Requesting, organising and filing client paperwork
  • Keeping our internal systems up to date and accurate
  • Carrying out AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks
  • Scanning and sending out registered office post
  • Supporting the Office Manager and wider team with general admin

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys being part of a team.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Clear written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude

Previous admin experience is important. Experience in an accountancy or professional services environment would be a bonus but isn’t essential.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working hours to support a good work-life balance
  • Hybrid working, with more home-working available after probation
  • A genuinely supportive and friendly team
  • Annual pay reviews
  • Annual bonus

How to Apply

If you’re looking for a flexible role in a growing business where you can really get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your CV along with a short covering note telling us a bit about yourself and why you’re interested in the role.
