Full job description

Optimum Group is seeking an Accounts/Admin Assistant based in Liverpool City Centre. Optimum Group operates 27 Costa Coffee stores, along with rental properties around Merseyside.

We are seeking a skilled individual who is reliable and self-sufficient to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Finance, we require someone with finance and admin experience and who can demonstrate that they have strong qualities and support other employees throughout any accounting processes. You will play a crucial role in supporting our financial activities while ensuring the smooth operation of various business processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
  • Track and reconcile bank statements
  • Reconcile Supplier/Debtors Statements
  • Processing payment through bank
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Participate in month end management accounts
  • Office administration duties such as answering phone calls, mail, errands, printing, scanning
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required

Requirements and skills:

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • MS Excel skills (must be mid level to advanced, no beginners)
  • Must be Xero Literate and familiar with Auto Entry
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Mathematical abilities
