Full job description

For July 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, Thornton College are looking to appoint an outstanding full-time Secretary/ School Administrator to provide administrative support throughout the year.

During term time the position will run on a two-weekly rota based on shifts of 9am – 5.30pm and 10am – 6.30pm, details are included in the job description

Our most recent ISI inspection report judged the school to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas and our CSI Inspection this year judged the school to be ‘Outstanding in all areas.’ More recently, Thornton has been accredited as a NACE School. The successful candidate can be sure of working with a team of extremely dedicated staff in a very motivating, forward-thinking school environment.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and be proficient with IT packages including Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word) and would ideally have previously worked within the iSAMS MIS package.

Salary: £25,673.00 gross per annum We offer a friendly and supportive work environment, generous – pro-rata fee remission and free parking set in 25 acres of wonderful grounds.
