Administrative Assistant – Clinical Negligence
Supportive Team | Career Development | Meaningful Work | Excellent Training | Long-Term Progression
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to join a highly regarded Clinical Negligence team.
Working closely with experienced fee earners and legal assistants, you'll play an integral role in supporting the department while helping to deliver exceptional client care to individuals navigating complex and often sensitive legal matters.
The Role
You will provide essential administrative support to the Clinical Negligence department, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of client care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening new client files and managing the onboarding process
- Maintaining files from inception through to closure and archiving
- Supporting fee earners and legal assistants with day-to-day file management
- Assisting with identity verification and anti-money laundering checks
- Preparing correspondence, legal documents, and standard forms
- Managing diaries, appointments, and administrative coordination
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Updating the case management system accurately
- Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department
What We're Looking For
- Previous administrative experience within a legal environment is advantageous
- Experience within Clinical Negligence or Personal Injury is desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of medical terminology would be beneficial
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication and excellent client care skills
- Positive, proactive, and team-focused approach
- Ability to use your own initiative while working collaboratively
