As Duty Security Officer, you’ll take a proactive role in maintaining the highest standards of security, fire safety, and health & safety, while supporting a welcoming and safe environment for all.

What You Will Do In This Splendid Role


You’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our guests, colleagues and visitors. ere’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Lead from the front – supervise and support the security team, ensuring every shift runs effectively and the hotel maintains a visible, reassuring security presence.
  • Stay one step ahead – monitor the hotel for potential risks, respond promptly to incidents, alarms and emergencies, and investigate and escalate concerns where needed.
  • Keep a watchful eye – monitor CCTV, alarms and hotel security systems, maintaining accurate incident reports, records and handovers.
  • Build confidence across the team – support and train hotel colleagues on security, fire safety and health and safety procedures, helping everyone understand their role in keeping people safe.
  • Work together to protect what matters – liaise with hotel management, law enforcement and fire authorities when required, ensuring security procedures are followed and the hotel meets its policies and legal obligations.

What Makes You Splendid


  • You hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and have at least one year's experience gained within a hospitality environment or equivalent.
  • You have a strong understanding of access control procedures and know how to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and visitors.
  • You’re confident writing clear, accurate and detailed incident reports.
  • You’re comfortable using computers and relevant security systems, with good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You’re an excellent communicator who can handle situations calmly and professionally, adapting your approach to different people and circumstances.
  • You take a customer-focused approach to security, balancing vigilance and professionalism with a welcoming and helpful manner.
  • You’re observant, proactive and dependable, taking pride in maintaining high standards and helping everyone feel safe and welcome.

About Hilton - London Bankside

Located in Bankside, London’s cultural quarter, Hilton Bankside is a multi-award winning, next generation, design-led hotel.
