Job Responsibilities:

We are a leading provider of Security Services to clients throughout the UK. We currently have an exciting and varied role for a Operations Manager based at our Office in Burton on Trent. You will be expected to attend Head Office several times a week, with the remainder of your time on client and staff visits from your portfolio.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, you will have responsibility for the operational performance for a region in the UK operations involving Facilities Management, Leisure, Events, Temporary CCTV and Manned Guarding through building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring high customer service levels of your employees.

You will be an excellent communicator with good people management skills, and an ability to deliver quality services to clients. You will need excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with an ability to analyse on-going situations. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and motivating employees to ensure that the highest standards of quality control and customer care are delivered
  • Assisting the Operations Team throughout the UK Operation
  • Achieve set KPIs and SLAs
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and conduct regular client meetings
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship and partner with the regional support teams (HR and Business Development)
  • Ensure compliance of Company policies and procedures within your area, including Health and Safety and risk assessments.

Person Specification:

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK driving license
  • SIA Licence
  • Proven track record managing a portfolio of manned guarding sites
  • Strong operational experience gained in a multi-site or area management role
  • Exceptional client and customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication, organisational, influencing and facilitation skills
  • Good health and safety knowledge and experience
  • Flexibility and willingness to work out-of-office hours
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office packages)
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands
  • Strong knowledge of security practices, equipment and legislation
  • Experience of managing a security contract or contracts within the Manned Guarding, Leisure, and events sector
  • A track record of exceeding client expectations
  • Experience of investigations
  • Previous experience in working with Time-gate software, but not essential as full training will be given

Salary:£37,500 per annum

Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus statutory holidays,
