We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Multi skilled Security Officers in an operational security Car Parking & Smoking Enforcement role.

Responsibilities

Face to face role of the customer services and deliver high quality care and communication to patient, public and staff at the organisation

The protection of people and property throughout all Trust sites.

Demonstrate the Trusts agreed behaviours and values within the team.

Handle confidential information in compliance with Trust policies and procedures

Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and other departments.

Ensure that processes are carried out in accordance with documented procedures, protocols and schedules and deadlines

Build and maintain positive relationships with a range of internal and external people

Resolve routine queries and enquiries from employees and managers

With support and guidance, resolve customer conflict and challenge from start to finish, maintaining accurate records

Controlling of physical and technical access controlled areas

Reviewing and monitoring of CCTV systems

Alarm activation response

Major Incident response and assistance

Ensuring safety and security throughout all parking facilities

Responding to calls and request throughout the trust and its departments.

You must be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures, to ensure your own safety and that of colleagues, patients, visitors and any other person who may be affected by your actions at work. You are reminded of your duty under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 to take reasonable care to avoid injury to yourself and others; to officially report all incidents, accidents and hazards using the Critical Incident Reporting Procedure; to use safety equipment provided for your protection at all times and to co-operate with management in meeting statutory requirements

What skills will you need?

Required

In addition to SIA you will require the following training and accreditation (training will be offered to the appointed candidate)

SIA – Door Supervisor

Full training in conflict Resolution, clinical holding and restraint

First Aid

CCTV Monitoring

5 Year + security background Health Care setting preferred

Excellent IT skills and be confident in the use of Microsoft Word / Excel and use of CCTV Systems.

Must be fluent in English - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions

Team working - demonstrate clear commitment to the team

Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours, dealing with people, problems and situations with honesty and integrity, respecting diversity

Commitment to undertake and complete learning activities, which form part of the role

Self-motivated with an ability to deliver work within agreed timescales.

Able to work independently, prioritising workload effectively

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to new demands

Full Driving Licence – Manual (Clean)

Safeguarding, Mental Health, Learning Disability and Dementia awareness

CCTV SIA Licence

Dealing with incidents and emergencies

Report writing and the use of pocket note books

Maintaining the security of property and premises through observation

Carry out searches of people and their property for unauthorised items (following consent)

Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS)

FAW Cert

4 on 4 off, over 7 days 18.00 to 06.00am

(Occasional requirement to work at Other sites – Transport provided)
