Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our home care service. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure the well-being of clients, and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver personalised care plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the healthcare sector. Please note there is currently no sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Support clients in adhering to their individual care plans and health routines
  • Monitor and record clients' conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and caring environment
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
  • Support clients with light household tasks and daily activities in both care home and home care settings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a domiciliary care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Valid UK driving licence is preferred for this role as it involves home visits
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds, especially older adults
  • Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times
