Full job description

M&G investment is seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The successful candidate will lead the company's financial strategy, oversee all finance and accounting functions, and provide commercial insight to support sustainable business growth.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced finance executive with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of driving financial performance within a dynamic organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in line with business objectives

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Oversee accounting, financial reporting, taxation, payroll, and treasury functions

Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, HMRC regulations, and statutory reporting requirements

Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive leadership

Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements, and financial risk

Drive operational efficiency and identify opportunities to improve profitability

Oversee annual audits and maintain robust internal controls

Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Support mergers, acquisitions, investment opportunities, and strategic business initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (essential)

Significant senior financial leadership experience, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance

Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, corporate taxation, and financial governance

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software

Outstanding leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or other postgraduate qualification

Experience within wealth management, financial services, investment management, or professional services

Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, or private equity-backed organisations

Pay: £126,159.93-£185,735.31 per year
