Full job description

The Technology and Digital group at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) provides the services that enable colleagues to work securely and effectively. Our End User Compute (EUC) service supports endpoint platforms, applications and workplace technologies, helping to deliver a modern, reliable digital workplace.

As Senior EUC Engineer, you will provide senior technical expertise across the EUC service. You will lead the engineering, operation and continual improvement of endpoint platforms and associated technologies, ensuring they remain secure, resilient and aligned with organisational needs.

You will design, implement and maintain endpoint solutions across Windows, iOS and Android, using technologies including Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. You will also lead endpoint security, patching, vulnerability remediation and compliance activity, working with Cyber Security and infrastructure colleagues to minimise risk.

A key part of the role will be owning the application lifecycle within the EUC environment, from packaging and testing through to deployment, updating and retirement. As a senior subject matter expert, you will lead complex technical investigations, develop automation and scripting solutions, contribute to projects, mentor colleagues, and help shape the EUC strategy and roadmap.

To succeed, you will bring strong experience of modern endpoint engineering across Windows, iOS and Android, including Intune, Autopilot and co-managed device estates. You will have expertise in endpoint security, patching, vulnerability management and compliance, alongside knowledge of Entra ID, Group Policy and hybrid identity. You will also be confident using PowerShell or other automation tools and communicating complex technical issues to varied audiences.

The benefits

Your benefits package will include a competitive contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave, alongside flexible and hybrid working arrangements. You’ll also have access to learning and development opportunities, staff networks and a supportive environment committed to inclusion and professional growth.

Closing date: 14 September 2026.

Pay: £49,400.00-£53,200.00 per year

Work Location: In person
