We're now looking for a talented, experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a strong eCommerce background and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications and eCommerce solutions
  • Develop customised features, extensions, and integrations across platforms, with a primary focus on Magento
  • Ensure the performance, stability, and security of our clients' websites
  • Participate in code and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback and improvements
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical guidance and support when needed
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our solutions innovative and competitive

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry
  • Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and MVC frameworks, ideally with Magento 2 experience
  • Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Laravel, WordPress, and Shopware
  • Proficiency with Git or other version control systems
  • Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Magento Developer Certification
  • Experience with other languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Teamwork
