About the role
Lead the end-to-end delivery of customer projects and programmes from contract award through to final acceptance, acting as the primary customer interface and champion. Ensure delivery meets contractual, technical, commercial and operational requirements, taking ownership of programme performance, stakeholder engagement and successful customer outcomes. This includes:
- Direct and oversee a portfolio of strategically significant, complex and high-risk projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and customer outcomes.
- Establish project and programme objectives, delivery strategies, governance frameworks and measurable success criteria aligned to organisational priorities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, customers and partners, providing clear strategic insight, governance reporting and decision support.
- Drive delivery performance through data-led governance, portfolio reporting and proactive intervention to ensure achievement of strategic, financial and operational targets.
- Provide leadership, coaching and professional development to project managers, fostering a high-performance project management capability.
- Own project and programme P&L performance, forecasting and financial governance.
- Support business development activities including bid reviews, delivery planning and customer engagement.
- Influence strategic decision making through portfolio analysis, risk assessment and delivery assurance.
- Drive resource planning and capability development to ensure successful delivery of current and future programmes.

Essential Qualifications
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, AMP PMQ, MSP Practitioner or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering complex projects.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
Desirable
- Demonstratable experience delivery complex programmes within Defence, Security or Technology environments.
- Understanding of systems engineering, software development lifecycles and product development methodologies.
- Ability to communicate professionally in one or more additional languages to support engagement with international customers, partners and stakeholders.
