Full job description

Thriving Investments is a socially conscious fund manager focused on the living sector. We invest across a range of housing tenures that deliver market returns to investors alongside meaningful social impact. We currently manage over 5,300 homes representing £1.1bn of assets under management, with ambitious plans to grow to £5bn+ through the launch of new funds and the expansion of existing portfolios. Thriving Investments is supported by a Board of experienced non‑executive directors and by corporate functions including IT, Finance, HR and Facilities through our parent organisation, Places for People

More about your role

As our Governance & Executive Officer, you'll play an important role in making sure our governance arrangements run smoothly and effectively. You'll support Boards, Committees and senior leaders by coordinating meetings, preparing and distributing papers, maintaining governance calendars and records, and producing accurate minutes, actions and decision logs.

You'll work closely with the Head of Governance & Compliance and senior stakeholders, supporting governance approvals, resolutions, regulatory and statutory submissions, policies, registers and other key documentation. You'll also help coordinate investor and fund reporting, executive priorities, data protection activity and the execution of legal documentation.

Essential criteria

To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following on your CV:

  • Experience providing governance, Board, Committee, company secretarial or legal governance support, including coordinating formal meetings and associated governance processes.
  • Experience taking accurate minutes and maintaining actions, decisions and formal meeting records for senior-level meetings, Boards or Committees.
  • Experience preparing, collating and managing governance documentation, such as Board/Committee papers, governance calendars, forward plans, registers, policies or written resolutions.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and handling confidential or commercially sensitive governance information.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment, such as housing, financial services or real estate, with exposure to regulatory, statutory or compliance requirements.

More about you

You'll be highly organised and comfortable working in a governance-focused environment where accuracy, confidentiality and deadlines matter. You'll be confident coordinating senior stakeholders and balancing several competing priorities while maintaining high-quality governance records and documentation.

Previous experience supporting investors, fund administration or investor reporting would be a real advantage, as would experience using Board portal software. You'll bring strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing your career across governance, company secretarial and regulated housing.

What you'll get

We know rewarding work deserves rewarding benefits. That's why, alongside a competitive salary, you'll have access to a package designed to support you at work and beyond. You'll receive:

  • Bonus scheme for colleagues
• 35 days holiday (including bank holidays) with the option to buy or sell days • Healthcare cashback plan for everyday medical costs, with private GP and health support services available
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support including counselling, flu jabs, our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and access to our Wellbeing Hub, supporting your mental, physical and financial wellbeing
  • Access to Our Place Rewards, offering discounts and savings on groceries, travel, shopping, home products and other lifestyle purchases
  • Ongoing training, professional qualifications, internal development programmes and career progression opportunities
  • Recognition programmes including Star Awards and Colleague Awards, celebrating achievements and recognising great work
  • Strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and colleague engagement
  • Free membership to Places Gyms
  • Life Assurance to provide financial security for your loved ones, alongside access to will writing services to help you plan for the future with confidence
