Job Advert
We are currently looking to recruit a part time Visual Impairment Rehabilitation worker for our Sensory Impairment Team.
Reporting to the Advanced Practitioner, the successful post holder will be responsible for providing a professional rehabilitation service to adults and children with a visual impairment, including advice, mobility training, daily living skills and communication skills.
You will be required to hold a diploma or equivalent in Rehabilitation studies. We would welcome candidates who also have rehabilitation qualification to apply.
You will have extensive experience of working with adults and children with visual impairment within the community.
You will be able to work autonomously and as part of team as well as multiagency working to ensure that the health and wellbeing of adults and children are paramount to service delivery and help to deliver excellent services to the residents of Bedford and Central Bedfordshire Boroughs.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent computer literacy to maintain good case recording.

We offer 27 days of annual leave, increasing to 32 days after 5 years service, plus bank holidays, compensated by a competitive salary and a generous pension scheme.
