Full job description

We are looking for a Carlisle / Dumfries based test mobile engineer to visit our customers and perform simple testing and calibration / servicing work.

Most of our customers are based in doctors surgeries and hospital and 90% of the work with be in these establishments across the North West and Scottish borders.

The Role

This role involves an eye for accuracy.

Whilst the product is electro-mechanical in nature, specialist skills are not a prerequisit as these can be taught to a willing candidate. However successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a natural flair of simple mechanical and electrical systems.

Previous successful engineers have had experience in plumbing, electrical engineering, agricultural engineering and military type environments.

An ideal candidate will have some experience of servicing, testing or installation of equipment of some type.

A perfect candidate will have experience of medical equipment servicing BUT this is not a prerequisite.

The role involves extensive driving of a company van and occassional nights away in hotels with suitable expenses provided.

The attitude of the candidate and a willingness to learn is a major deciding factor. If you dont know which way up to hold a screw driver it isnt for you! You must also be able to be nice to our customers!

Remuneration

£30000 pa base

Upto £200 monthly bonus

£55 per night for nights away, £35 per night food. (average 2 mights per month)

Company Van and Company tools provided

Interview Process

1) Phone or Video call with the recruiter

2) Teams meeting with the Service Manager

3) Local face to face where you might be asked to demonstrate aptitude for equipment.

Training

Initial training in the Southern office and then expect a shadowing process (This may mean nights in hotels during this process.)
