Adhoc Aviation Ground Security Officer

SES Aviation support UK aviation with a fast-expanding range of services to meet ever-changing security needs, this includes Airports (and their suppliers), Fixed Base Operators, (FBOs), Airlines.

We are excited to invite applications to join our ever-growing team of Adhoc Ground Security Officers at Stansted.

An Aviation Security Officer is required to be a self-motivated and disciplined individual and who is prepared, mentally and physically to deal with range of situations. The successful candidates will be working with clients within general (private) aviation industry where the customers enjoy an exceptional experience and with every flight a unique and tailor fit to suit their VIP and CIP demands.

As part of the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of aviation duties, including body searching, bag searching and x-ray screening. They will also need to have a passion for this service, will care enough to make a difference to a customer’s day and will take a real pride in everything they do.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, an approachable manner, and who are well presented. Successful applicants must also be flexible for 24/7 operations which include unsociable hours and weekends. Full training will be provided.

There are elements of manual handling within this role, such as bending to complete body and bag searching, and moving bags.

Essential requirements:

  • 5 years previous work history (with references for any gaps)
  • 2 years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Completion of a criminal record check and counter-terrorism check prior to starting
  • Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
  • Hold full UK driving licence
  • Full colour vision is required to screen cabin and hold baggage
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Offer of role dependant on passing full vetting

Desirable:

  • Ground Security Operative qualification
  • Previous experience in aviation security
  • Current CTC clearance
