Full job description

Production Sewing Machinists are needed for the busiest and best clothing factory in Manchester!

We are looking for experienced Sewing Machinists to join our growing team. We specialise in high quality, British made clothing. The ideal candidate will have both the experience and enthusiasm to work in the factory where the country’s finest shirts, blazers, jackets, raincoats, overcoats and Jersey wear are made.

We are the longest running clothing factory in the North West and are immensely proud of our highly diverse and multicultural workforce.

We offer 28 days holiday per annum.

We are looking for someone with the following;

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machinist

· A good knowledge of woven goods

· Knowledge of jersey fabrics is advantageous

· Ability to work accurately with the passion for only the very finest quality

· Communicative knowledge of English

· Highly efficient with time

· Able to use both a flatbed sewing machine and an overlocker

· Knowledge of binding machines, twin needles, and overarm pressing equipment is preferred not essential

· Base rate £12.84 per hour, but we hope successful candidates will earn up to £15.00 per hour as we operate on a piece work basis.

Working Hours: Mon-Thurs (08:15-16:45), Friday (08:15-14:30)

Candidates will initially be employed on a 6 month contract with the possibility of long term employment depending on experience.
