Childrens Residential Waking Night Support Worker – Wellingborough, NN8

Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 40 hours per week

Salary: £27,976 - £28,650 per annum (£13.45 – £13.77 per hour) + attendance bonus

About the Home:
Hatton House is a 4 bedded childrens residential home based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Supporting children and young people up to the age of 18 – the home provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment by offering emotional and practical support to help children develop life skills and build confidence.

The Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will:
Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care throughout the night.

Supporting with night-time routines, manage incidents should they occur

Provide through handover to the day shift.

Support with daily routines, household tasks, and meal preparation.

Encourage participation in community activities, and hobbies.

Transport young people to school, medical appointments, and activities.

Act as a positive role model, setting clear boundaries and building trust.

Liaise with other professionals like social workers and therapists to ensure the physical and emotional needs are met.

Help young people develop life skills, including managing finances.

Maintain accurate records and paperwork.

Work flexibly rotating onto weekends, bank holidays.

Be able to work 4 on 4 off from 9pm to 8am

What You’ll Bring

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).

Honesty, empathy, and a commitment to being a positive role model.

Drivers with a FULL UK license are essential.

Shifts:
Contracted to work 40 hours per week

4 on 4 off from 9pm until 8am
