Job Overview
Due to continued growth, DAW are looking to expand our workshop team with the addition of a Sheet Metal Fabricator. This role is focused on the production of precision sheet metal components, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work accurately from technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cutting, folding, and forming sheet metal using workshop machinery and hand tools
  • Operating equipment such as guillotines, press brakes, and other sheet metal machinery
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Measuring, marking out, and preparing materials to ensure accuracy
  • Assembling sheet metal components to required specifications
  • Carrying out light grinding and finishing where required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
  • Supporting with general workshop duties and basic equipment maintenance

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
  • Experience operating press brakes, guillotines, or similar machinery
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Good understanding of materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes
  • Competent using hand tools and measuring equipment such as calipers
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable (not essential)

  • Basic welding experience
  • FLT licence or experience operating forklifts
