Locum SHO (ST1/ST2) Doctor

Location: NHS Trust, UK
Grade: SHO (ST1/ST2 Equivalent)
Contract: Locum
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing / As Per Service Requirement
Pay Rate: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Locum SHO (ST1/ST2) to join our NHS Trust on an immediate basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while working as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of clinical specialties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain further NHS experience within a supportive clinical environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise.
  • Minimum 2 years' NHS clinical experience.
  • Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to delivering safe and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients under consultant supervision.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and on-call rotas where required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Liaise effectively with nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, and senior clinicians.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, GMC guidance, and clinical governance standards.
  • Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and service delivery initiatives.
