Full job description

PDS Direct are the leaders in Nationwide Fragile Distribution and are looking for qualified, highly motivated Drivers that have high levels of Customer Service skills to join our fast-paced growing business.

The position is based from our central hub in Oldbury, West Midlands.

We are seeking an experienced experienced Class 1 driver for deliveries/collections to/from local depots. You'll be working closely with the warehouse management team to ensure the operation runs smoothly. A dynamic and flexible approach will be required to succeed in this role.

You will go through a comprehensive training period. You must be reliable, trustworthy and hardworking with excellent time keeping and a flexible attitude and a strong work ethic. As you will be meeting many of our customers on a daily basis you will need to be polite, helpful and courteous and always give them great customer service. Order accuracy is also essential during unloading and delivering. Other key responsibilities will include monitoring load security, complying with health & safety and hygiene regulations and checking roadworthiness of vehicles and compliance of DVSA regulations.

The ideal candidate needs to fulfil the following requirements:

Possess a Current Clean Full Driving License (up to max 3 points considered)

Experience in shunting Class 1 vehicles

Physically fit and have experience in manual handling.

Comfortable working alone.

Happy to work 5 days Monday to Friday.

Hours - 9.00am to 7.00pm
