Job Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Security Dog Handlers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in security operations, working alongside trained security dogs to ensure the safety and protection of premises. The position is suitable for those interested in pursuing a career in security, with comprehensive training provided. All roles are paid and are designed to develop your skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious activities
  • Participate in the training and handling of security dogs under supervision
  • Conduct regular patrols around the premises to maintain security presence
  • Respond appropriately to security incidents
  • Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations
  • Follow established protocols for safety, security procedures, and emergency response

Experience

  • No prior security dog experience required as comprehensive training will be provided
  • An interest in surveillance, loss prevention, and canine handling is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV systems and security procedures is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to security operations and dog handling
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail are important for maintaining accurate records
