Inspire the next generation of performers!

Jigsaw Performing Arts Finchley is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and inspiring Singing Teacher to join our friendly team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about musical theatre and singing, and loves helping children develop confidence, creativity and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.

You'll teach children aged 7–18, delivering engaging singing lessons that develop vocal technique, performance skills and confidence while creating a positive learning experience for every student.

The Role

As our Singing Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging singing lessons for students aged 7–18.
  • Teach a range of musical theatre and contemporary repertoire.
  • Develop students' vocal technique, performance skills and confidence.
  • Prepare students for end-of-term presentations and annual productions.
  • Stage and rehearse songs for performances.
  • Work closely with our Drama and Dance teachers to create exciting shows.
  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support positive behaviour management in line with Jigsaw policies.
  • Build excellent relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Attend training and staff meetings when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching singing to children and young people.
  • Has a passion for musical theatre and performance.
  • Is enthusiastic, organised and reliable.
  • Can inspire confidence and bring energy to every class.
  • Enjoys working as part of a creative team.
  • Can plan engaging lessons independently.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Has the right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Degree or professional training in Music, Musical Theatre or Performing Arts.
  • Previous experience teaching group singing classes.
  • Piano skills are an advantage but not essential.
