Birmingham | Full-Time | Term Time Only

August 2026 Start - £495-£530 per week

Located in Birmingham, this Outstanding college is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Academic Learning Coach to join their team. The Role

As a Graduate Academic Learning Coach, you will play a key role in supporting students across Level 2 and Level 3 study programmes. Working closely with the Student Services and Learning Resources teams, you will provide classroom cover supervision, deliver targeted academic support, and help create a positive and productive learning environment across the college.

You will also support the smooth running of the Learning Resource Centre, Open Learning Centre, and wider study spaces, ensuring students have access to the guidance and resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver cover supervision across a range of curriculum areas and tutorial sessions, ensuring a calm, respectful, and purposeful learning environment
  • Provide 1:1 and small group academic support to students, including revision guidance, assignment support, research assistance, and exam preparation
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the Learning Resource Centre and study spaces across the college
  • Encourage positive student behaviour and independent learning within open study environments
  • Advise students on the use of physical and digital learning resources available across academic and vocational courses
  • Support the exams team with examination invigilation during key assessment periods
  • Accompany students on educational trips and visits, ensuring safety and positive behaviour at all times
  • Contribute to the wider college enrichment programme and student experience

We Are Looking For

  • A recent graduate boasting a 2:1 or above degree along with strong A-level outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to relate well to students and adults.
  • Graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, social work, or youth services are especially encouraged to apply
