Whether you’re a qualified teacher or currently training, if you’re ready to motivate, challenge and inspire the next generation of critical thinkers, we want to hear from you!
Are you passionate about Criminology and fascinated by what drives criminal behaviour and the justice system? Do you thrive on sparking debate, encouraging curiosity and helping students see the real-world relevance of what they’re learning?
Blackpool Sixth is a high-performing college specialising in 16–19 education, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Criminology Teacher to join our ambitious and supportive team on a 0.6fte basis.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team where ideas are shared, innovation is encouraged, and professional development is genuinely valued.
A day in your new role could see you ….
- Delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons that bring criminological theories and real-life case studies to life
- Encouraging debate and critical thinking around crime, justice and social issues
- Supporting learners to build confidence, subject knowledge and a clear understanding of progression routes and careers
- Working closely with colleagues to develop high-quality schemes of work and resources
- Taking part in departmental CPD to share best practice and continually refine your teaching
- Contributing to a college culture that champions inclusion, high expectations and student success
