HGV Class 2 Skip Loader Driver (Chain Lift Skip Wagon)
Location: Kirkby, Knowsley (Liverpool)
Pay: £39,500–£43,000+ OTE (£15.81/hr + monthly bonus + overtime)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 48 hours/week | Day shifts only | No nights away

Essential Requirements (Applications without these will not be considered)

  • Full HGV Class 2 (LGV C) licence
  • Minimum 12 months’ chain lift skip loader experience
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good knowledge of driver hours & road safety regulations
  • Reliable, professional attitude with strong timekeeping

About the Role

1st Choice Concrete & Skip Hire Ltd is a growing waste management and recycling company based in Knowsley. We are recruiting experienced Skip Loader Drivers to operate modern chain lift skip wagons delivering and collecting skips for commercial, construction, and domestic customers across Merseyside.

All work is depot-based from our Kirkby yard — no tramping, night shifts, or nights away.

Drivers represent the business daily, so professionalism and good customer service are essential.

What You’ll Earn

  • £15.81 per hour (48 hours guaranteed)
  • Monthly performance bonus
  • Weekend overtime available
  • Annual pay review every April
