Full job description

OCHO Private Members’ Club | Cheltenham
£13 per hour + service charge

OCHO is a private members’ club built around exceptional hospitality, great food and drink, connection and memorable experiences.

We’re looking for a Club Host to join our team – someone warm, confident and naturally engaging, who loves making people feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

This is more than a reception role. You’ll be one of the faces of OCHO and an important part of creating the personal, relaxed and polished experience we want every member and guest to enjoy.

The role

As Club Host, you’ll be one of the main points of contact for our members, guests and visitors.

You will:

  • Welcome members and guests with genuine warmth and personality
  • Get to know our members and help create an environment where people feel recognised and looked after
  • Manage reservations, bookings and enquiries accurately and efficiently
  • Handle day-to-day reception and front-of-house administration
  • Use our booking, CRM and hospitality systems to keep information accurate and up to date
  • Communicate closely with the restaurant, bar and wider club team to ensure a seamless member experience
  • Anticipate what members and guests might need rather than simply waiting to be asked
  • Help maintain the high standards of presentation and service expected throughout the club
  • Get stuck in and support the wider team whenever needed

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is naturally good with people.

You’ll be warm, confident and comfortable speaking with a wide range of members and guests, while being organised enough to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Takes real pride in delivering excellent service
  • Is friendly, engaging and professional
  • Is proactive, organised and able to juggle several things at once
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is comfortable using booking systems, CRM systems and other technology
  • Enjoys being part of a team and is happy to help wherever needed
  • Understands the importance of discretion and professionalism in a private members’ club environment

Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, members’ clubs or another guest-facing environment would be great, but attitude and personality are just as important to us.

What we offer

  • £13 per hour
  • Service charge in addition to your hourly rate
  • The opportunity to work in a unique private members’ club environment
  • A friendly, supportive team
  • A varied role where you’ll genuinely get to know the people you’re looking after

If you’re someone who remembers a name, notices the small things and genuinely enjoys making people feel at home, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £12.90-£13.10 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 – 30.0 per week

Work Location: In person
