Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will play a vital part in implementing care plans and assisting with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or team meetings.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
  • A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
