Full job description

Social Media Superstar & Content Creator for Oakdene Collection, Alfreton, Derbyshire

You must send a cover letter, portfolio and examples of your work.

This is not just a social media job.

This is an opportunity to help build one of the UK’s fastest-growing prestige car brands and create content seen by hundreds of thousands, and eventually millions, of people.

Oakdene Collection has built a reputation for doing things differently. We are a modern prestige vehicle retailer with ambitious growth plans, expanding from around 175 advertised vehicles to over 300. Alongside that growth, we are investing heavily into our media operation and are looking for a full-time Social Media Superstar to take our content to the next level.

We are searching for someone who lives and breathes content creation. Someone who understands what performs on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and emerging platforms. Someone who can spot trends, create engaging content and tell stories that people actually want to watch.

This role is not about simply filming a few videos and posting them online. You will be responsible for the entire content journey from idea to publication.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and managing our social media content calendar
  • Creating engaging content ideas and campaigns
  • Filming prestige vehicles, behind-the-scenes content and day-to-day business activities
  • Editing videos for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook
  • Producing short-form content designed to maximise engagement and reach
  • Supporting the growth of our YouTube channel
  • Managing content scheduling and publishing
  • Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Working alongside the management team to build personal and company brands
  • Helping create a consistent content strategy across all platforms
  • Capturing photography when required
  • Attending vehicle collections, events and special projects when needed

Equipment You’ll Be Working With

We have invested heavily in creating a market-leading media setup, including:

  • Professional camera equipment
  • Carbon fibre gimbals
  • Apple MacBook Pros
  • Adobe Creative Cloud software
  • Professional lighting systems
  • State-of-the-art vehicle photography studio
  • Turntable vehicle display system
  • Dedicated content creation facilities

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience creating content for social media platforms
  • Strong videography and editing skills
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom and related software
  • Excellent understanding of YouTube, TikTok and Instagram
  • Ability to independently plan, organise and execute content
  • Strong storytelling ability
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Passion for cars and the automotive industry would be advantageous
  • Self-motivated and able to work at pace
  • Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

The Opportunity

This is a chance to join Oakdene Collection at a hugely exciting stage of growth.

You won’t be joining a large corporate business where your work disappears into a marketing department. You’ll play a direct role in building a nationally recognised automotive brand and have genuine input into the content strategy.

If you are ambitious, creative and want to be part of something special, we’d love to hear from you.

To apply, please send:

  • Your CV
  • A cover letter
  • Portfolio or examples of your work
  • Links to any social media accounts, YouTube channels or projects you have managed

We are looking for someone exceptional. If that’s you, apply now.
