Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team, committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. In this role, you will provide compassionate support, guidance, and mentorship to help individuals develop their skills, confidence, and independence. Duties

  • Offer personalized support to children and young people, encouraging their emotional well-being and social development
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, activities, and personal care in a respectful and caring manner
  • Implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
  • Mentor children through positive reinforcement, fostering confidence and resilience
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop tailored support plans that meet individual needs
  • Support teaching staff by helping facilitate educational activities and behavioral strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and daily activities to ensure smooth communication within the team

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in educational, social care, or community settings is highly desirable
  • Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and team members
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in supporting young people
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in challenging situations
  • Relevant qualifications in teaching or social care are a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
