Role Description

The Software Engineer - Java, React, Angular role at Zaio Limited is a full-time hybrid position based in Reading, with the flexibility of occasional remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable software solutions using Java, React, and Angular frameworks. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality code via code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, and contributing to continuous improvement in software development processes.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Software Development, Back-End Web Development, and Programming
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Hands-on development experience with Java, React, and Angular frameworks
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the telecom or SaaS industries is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Groovy Script, and UI technologies such as Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and TypeScript for building diagnostic and automation interfaces.
  • Experience in deployment pipelines, CI/CD practices, and managing code repositories (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl, etc.) for automation and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of mobile network architecture (2G/3G/4G/5G), signalling flows, and vendor-specific RAN equipment.
  • Experience with Home Broadband diagnostics and service assurance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
