Full job description
Full Stack Developer
Woven is a seed-stage fintech building the data infrastructure that's been missing from UK financial advice. Our platform helps advisers uncover the savings hidden in their clients' portfolios - often thousands of pounds per client in fees - as part of our wider mission to save UK investors over £7 billion a year. We give advisers a single, normalised view of their book through Woven Analytics, and we're already partnered with around 30% of the UK platform market.
We're looking for an experienced, data-focused full stack developer to supercharge our product, integrations and APIs. You won't just be shipping features - you'll work across the stack, from the Vue front end advisers use every day through to the microservices and APIs underneath, with real ownership over the architecture. We move fast, test, learn and iterate, so agility and curiosity matter as much as raw skill.
What you'll do
- Build and scale across the stack, from front end to the backend that powers our product, integrations and APIs.
- Develop ETL pipelines (extract, transform, load), along with the data transformations and calculations behind them.
- Design and build APIs and integrations across the platform.
- Help shape an ecosystem of microservices from the ground up.
- Work cross-functionally, testing, learning and iterating quickly.
What you'll bring
- A minimum of 5 years' PHP experience, ideally 3+ years with Laravel (10.x / 8.1+)
- Strong front-end experience with Vue.js, TypeScript and Tailwind
- Strong MySQL skills
- Expertise with APIs, data, transformations and calculations
- Strong data optimisation experience across ETL development, API development and integrations, and data analytics
- TDD with PHPUnit / Pest, and a firm grasp of SOLID design principles
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork for cross-functional collaboration
- A fast mover who isn't afraid to test, learn and iterate
- A genuine passion for data, tech and efficiency
- UK based (the role is remote)
- Bonus points for experience in startups or fast-paced tech environments, prior fintech or wealth management experience
Why this role
This is a build-from-the-ground-up role. The product and the microservices you design now will be the backbone of the platform for years - and the cleaner and faster they are, the more savings advisers can find for their clients. If you want real ownership of architecture and product decisions at an early-stage company, this is it.
