QA Engineer

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in the office per week)
Salary: Up to £50,000 p/a

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA Engineer to join My Finance Club, a highly innovative and forward-thinking online challenger bank start-up backed by a major fund. Based in our London office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems as we continue to grow rapidly.

The Role

You’ll work across web and mobile platforms, testing new features, building automation, and improving our QA processes. The role involves both manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on API and UI automation.

What You’ll Do

  • Write, execute, and maintain automated tests using JavaScript, Playwright, and BDD (Cucumber).
  • Test APIs (REST/JSON) using tools like Postman.
  • Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Log and track defects in JIRA.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners in an agile environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5 years in software testing (manual + automation).
  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in JavaScript or another modern programming language.
  • Experience with Playwright or similar frameworks.
  • Solid API testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Performance testing.
  • Experience testing on mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
  • AWS/cloud experience.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of PHP/MySQL or similar tech stacks.
