Salary: £20 per hour + private healthcare including family cover + pension

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 3pm

Length of contract: Permanent full-time

Location of job: Domestic & Small Commercial sites across Northern Ireland.

Reporting to: Technical Manager

We enjoy a large and ever-growing share of both domestic & commercial solar markets in Northern Ireland and have expanded rapidly over the last three years. We are the preferred installer for a number of industry leading manufacturers such as Duracell, Puredrive, SolarEdge, Solis, JA Solar, Tesla and Qcells. We specialise in the supply, design & installation of solar PV and energy storage systems for domestic & commercial clients with a very strong focus on customer service and design quality. Our main values are integrity, positivity, professionalism & quality.

Summary of role:

As a result of continued expansion, we are seeking an enthusiastic & experienced electrician to work as part of a three-man team along with a roofer & laborer to install solar PV, battery storage & EV charging systems. The role will be based primarily on sites across Northern Ireland with infrequent work in ROI or UK and will involve mainly domestic & small commercial sized systems. Full product specific training will be provided for the equipment we install. Company uniform will be provided. You will commute to our office in Mallusk daily then travel to site in company van. On site you will represent our company values at all times, making sure all H&S measures are in place before work starts, carrying out installations to the highest standard, cleaning up & leaving the property as you found it, discussing safe operation of the system with the client, providing test results and any snag reports to our office team in a timely manner.

Essential and desirable criteria

Essential Criteria

- City & Guilds 2382-18 18th Edition electrical qualification (or 17th Edition and willing to update to 18th Edition upon starting employment)

- City & Guilds 2399-11 Solar PV Installation course (or willing to complete this course upon starting employment)

- A full clean driving license

- Comfortable working at heights with appropriate H&S measures in place

- A clear criminal record

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Reasonable aptitude for using Smartphone Apps

- Good knowledge of internet connectivity, LAN and Wi-Fi

- Ability to solve problems and make decisions using own initiative

- Positive and can-do attitude

- Ability to manage and teach other installation staff on site when required

- Access NI clearance or willing to obtain this before starting employment

- Able to work under pressure

- Good knowledge of domestic & commercial wiring and earthing systems

- Valid CSR card or willing to attain this qualification upon employment starting

- Experience of fault finding

- Ability to commute to our office in Mallusk, company van will be used for travelling to and from installation location

- Willing to undertake extensive manufacturer training on various products and H&S systems

- Willing to attend very occasional trade or home improvement shows

- Willing to work away from home in UK or ROI with overnight stays very occasionally

Desirable Criteria

- 2 Years Experience of installing solar PV systems

- MWEP, PASMA and Telehandler qualifications or willing to obtain upon employment

- City & Guilds 2391 Initial & Periodic Electrical Inspection & Testing

- experience of installing battery storage and EV products

- Experience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce

- Experience in a similar role and company

- Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland

- Working at Heights qualification
