About Us

We are an established electrical contractor specialising in new-build housing and apartment developments across the South West. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding into the Solar PV market and are currently working towards MCS accreditation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us at the beginning of our renewable energy journey and play a key role in helping develop and shape our Solar PV division.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to help us through the final stages of our MCS accreditation process while supporting the delivery of Solar PV installations across our projects.

This is a brand-new position within the company, offering a varied mix of office-based coordination and hands-on site work. As the business grows and additional contracts are secured, the role is expected to develop into a more senior management position with increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Solar PV designers, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Assisting with system design reviews and technical coordination
  • Supporting the preparation of quotations and pricing for Solar PV installations
  • Completing and submitting G98 applications and associated documentation
  • Assisting with MCS compliance requirements and accreditation processes
  • Supporting site teams with Solar PV installations on new-build developments
  • Installation of Solar PV panels, inverters, and associated equipment
  • Testing, inspection, and commissioning of Solar PV systems
  • Maintaining installation records and compliance documentation
  • Assisting in developing internal procedures and processes for the Solar PV division

About You

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised, and keen to help build a growing renewable energy department.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within the electrical industry
  • Good understanding of electrical testing and inspection
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience assisting with or completing MCS accreditation processes
  • Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
  • Experience completing G98/G99 applications
  • Previous Solar PV installation experience
