Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems, ensuring that all components are fitted correctly and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools. The Solar Installer will play a crucial part in promoting renewable energy solutions and helping customers reduce their carbon footprint.
Duties
- Install solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best installation practices.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installations.
- Perform electrical work related to solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Dig trenches for wiring as necessary, ensuring proper placement of cables.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and explaining system functionality to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical work or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely.
- Experience with welding is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to dig trenches and perform physical tasks associated with installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
