Join Our Growing Renewable Energy Team

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join our expanding solar installation team, supporting roofing and electrical crews on residential and commercial projects across Somerset and the South West.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, wants to learn new skills and is looking to build a long-term career within the rapidly growing renewable energy industry. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist roofers and solar installers with the installation of solar PV systems.
  • Load, unload and transport materials, tools and equipment safely.
  • Prepare work areas before installations begin.
  • Assist with removing and replacing roof tiles.
  • Help with re-felting, battening and general roofing works.
  • Assist with replacing fascias, soffits and guttering.
  • Support scaffold loading and unloading (where appropriate).
  • Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the day.
  • Dispose of waste materials safely and responsibly.
  • Assist with lifting and positioning solar panels and mounting equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles are stocked and organised.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude on site.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work at height.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Reliable, punctual and eager to learn.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Previous labouring or construction experience.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience working on roofing or solar installation projects.
  • Working at Height qualification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
