Overview
Reporting into the O&M Coordinator, you will proactively support our O&M growth but maintaining and repairing our own and our customers assets to the highest standard. Always maintaining a must repair and first-time fix mentality. This will enable us to grow efficiently in both asset volume and reputation which is key to us.

Duties

  • Take primary responsibility for solar plant performance, optimisation of the site and for maintaining equipment availability.
  • Perform pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across their solar farms, including electrical maintenance, solar panel cleaning (occasionally) and support the HV team.
  • Effectively help to resolve work tickets and report issues back to your line manager. Compiling reports of completed works.
  • Liaising with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, the grounds team and external subcontractors when required.
  • Providing mentoring and training to junior technicians where required.
  • Working hours of 42.5 per week and taking part in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including Bank Holidays and weekends) (on call allowances), 1 in every 4 weekends.

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, utility scale and/or Roof top solar is preferred. However, if no solar experience, then an industrial electrician background is of interest.
  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection or similar, electrical course.
  • 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • High Voltage Authorisation would be advantageous but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to remote nature of the sites
