Full job description

Greentech Renewables Ltd is looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Driver / Labourer to join our growing renewable energy installation team.

We specialise in solar panel installations, battery storage and air source heat pumps, and we are looking for someone who can provide practical support to our installation teams both on-site and with day-to-day transport and logistics.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, is physically fit and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving company vehicles to transport installation team members to and from jobs.
  • Collecting and delivering materials, equipment and tools to installation sites.
  • Assisting installers with loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Carrying solar panels, batteries, equipment and other installation materials safely.
  • Providing general labouring assistance to our solar and heat pump installation teams.
  • Helping to prepare and maintain safe, tidy working areas.
  • Assisting with site setup and clearing away materials following installations.
  • Ensuring company vehicles are kept clean, tidy and organised.
  • Supporting the team with other general duties as required.

Requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence – essential.
  • Over 30 preferred to meet our company vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Ideally based in Bury or the surrounding areas.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Willing to undertake a variety of tasks and assist wherever required.
  • Previous experience in labouring, construction or a similar hands-on role would be advantageous but is not essential.
