Full job description

We are hiring a Qualified Domestic Solar PV Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team, delivering premium solar and battery storage installations across residential properties. Job Overview

  • Position: Domestic Solar PV & Battery Storage Electrician
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract and direct
  • Salary: Price work
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no mandatory weekends)
  • Benefits: Company van, fuel card for direct, and continuous MCS/BESS training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission domestic solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Collaborate daily with an experienced roofing team to complete smooth residential retrofits.
  • Carry out AC/DC wiring, isolator installation, and final grid connections safely.
  • Perform testing, inspection, and system fault-finding, completing all necessary electrical certification.
  • Provide excellent customer service, explaining system operations to homeowners clearly before signing off.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) alongside an AM2 certification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018).
  • Accredited NVQ Solar PV Qualification and Battery Storage
  • Proven experience installing solar PV or domestic battery storage systems.
  • Valid ECS/JIB Gold Card is highly preferred.
