Location: West Midlands with occasional travel to surrounding areas (travel to customer sites)

Salary: £32,000–£45,000 per year (depending on qualifications and experience)

Eaasy Heat is expanding rapidly and we're looking for an ambitious, qualified electrician who wants more than just another electrical installation role.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our growing team, carrying out the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV, Battery Storage and Air Source Heat Pump systems.

If you're new to renewables, we'll provide full training in Solar PV, Battery Storage and MCS requirements, with the opportunity to develop into our Nominated Technical Person (NTP). If you're already experienced in renewable technologies or currently acting as an MCS Nominated Technical Person, we'd also love to hear from you.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Electrical installation of domestic Solar PV systems
  • Electrical installation of Battery Storage systems
  • Electrical installation of Air Source Heat Pump systems
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning
  • Completing certification and ensuring compliance with BS 7671
  • Working alongside our installation teams to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Supporting and maintaining the company's MCS standards
  • Developing into our Nominated Technical Person for renewable technologies

Essential Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • AM2
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own specialist electrical tools

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Solar PV installation experience
  • Battery Storage installation experience
  • Air Source Heat Pump electrical experience
  • EV charger installation experience
  • MCS experience
  • Experience working within an NICEIC, NAPIT or other Competent Person Scheme registered business.

If you haven't worked in renewables before, don't worry. If you've got the right attitude, a solid electrical background and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need.
