Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Technical Manager to support the delivery of our Solar PV, ESS, EV charging and electrical installation projects.

This is a key hire within the business. The successful candidate will play an important role in improving project delivery, maintaining compliance standards and supporting the continued growth of the company.

For a suitably qualified candidate, this role could also include becoming the company’s Nominated Technical Person, QS / technical representative and a senior leader within the business.

Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Project Manager with strong knowledge of Solar PV and Energy Storage Systems.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from Inception through to installation, completion and handover, ensuring each project is delivered efficiently, professionally and in line with company, manufacturer specification and compliance standards.

This role would suit someone with experience in renewables, electrical contracting or construction who is confident managing customers, installers, suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project designs, scopes of work and technical requirements before installation
  • Coordinate DNO applications, pre-install approvals, scheduling, scaffolding and installation planning
  • Liaise with customers, designers, installers, suppliers and the office team to keep projects moving
  • Maintain company accreditations and compliance standards, including MCS and NICEIC / NAPIT requirements
  • Support quality control, technical documentation, audits, handover packs and process improvements

Requirements

  • Experience managing projects within Solar PV, ESS, EV charging, electrical contracting, construction or renewables
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live projects at once
  • Good technical understanding of solar, battery storage and electrical installations
  • Confident communicator with customers, installers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and keeping projects on track
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset

Highly Desirable

  • Qualified electrician with Solar PV and ESS experience
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • 2391 testing and inspection, or equivalent
  • Experience acting as a QS, Nominated Technical Person or technical representative
  • Knowledge of MCS, NICEIC / NAPIT audits and compliance requirements
  • Experience using OpenSolar, Easy PV, EasyMCS or similar industry software

Package

The package will depend on experience, qualifications and the level of responsibility the candidate can take on.

For an experienced Project Manager, the package is expected to be in the region of £40,000–£50,000.

For a qualified electrician / NTP / QS-level candidate who can take on technical leadership responsibilities, the package could be up to £80,000.

Package figures include salary, bonus and performance-related incentives.

Pay: £40,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
