Do you have a passion for renewable energy? Our client, Solarkinetics Limited is a small family run business which has over 12 years of experience installing commercial and domestic solar and battery systems and we’re looking for an experienced roofer / solar PV installer to join our expanding team.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee or experienced Solar PV Installer to join our growing team, installing solar PV systems in Herefordshire and the surrounding area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is keen to learn new skills and wants to develop a long-term career in the fast-growing solar energy sector. Previous solar installation experience is not essential, as full training and on-the-job support will be provided to the right candidate.

The Role

Working alongside our experienced installation team, you will help deliver high-quality solar PV installations

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the installation of solar panels on roof and ground mounted arrays.
• Loading, unloading and organising tools, materials and equipment.
• Following site drawings, installation instructions and health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Working professionally and courteously at customers' properties.
• Learning industry best practices and developing your technical skills through practical experience.

You will receive guidance and training from experienced installers, with opportunities to take on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Practical, hands-on and comfortable using tools.
• Enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height, subject to appropriate training and safety measures.
• Physically capable of carrying out the duties of the role, with reasonable adjustments considered where appropriate.

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous experience in Solar or other building trades.
• A valid CSCS card, where required for the sites you will attend.
• A full UK driving licence.
• An interest in renewable energy, solar PV and battery storage.

No previous solar PV experience is necessary. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
