Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Solar Electrical Engineer to join our innovative renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems for solar power projects. Your expertise will help drive the transition to sustainable energy solutions by ensuring that all electrical components are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for solar energy installations, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and system specifications.
- Oversee the installation process, ensuring proper connection of solar panels, inverters, and electrical controls using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate electrical infrastructure needs and ensure compatibility with solar technology.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on existing solar electrical systems to optimize performance and safety.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist with structural mounting solutions and integration of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, inspections, repairs, and upgrades for record-keeping and regulatory purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with electrical systems in renewable energy or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in wiring, circuit design, and system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus for site preparation tasks.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for structural modifications or repairs related to solar installations.
- Familiarity with the use of various hand tools and mechanical devices essential for installation work.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical codes accurately.
