About us

Amore Renewables is a growing renewable energy installer delivering high-quality solar PV and battery storage systems for homeowners and businesses across Reading and the wider Thames Valley. We pride ourselves on safe, tidy, well-engineered installations and excellent customer service, and we're expanding our team to keep up with demand.

The role

We're looking for an experienced Solar PV Roofer to take charge of the roofing and mechanical side of our installations. Working alongside our electricians, you'll install mounting systems and panels to a high standard, keeping every roof safe, secure and fully weatherproof.

Key responsibilities

· Install solar PV mounting systems, rails and panels on pitched and flat roofs

· Carry out roof preparation, including tile and slate removal and reinstatement

· Fit flashings, bird protection and other roof accessories, ensuring installations remain weatherproof

· Route DC cabling safely from the array to the point of entry

· Assess roofs before installation and report any defects or structural concerns

· Work safely at height and follow all health and safety procedures and method statements

· Complete installation records and photographs, and leave every site clean and tidy

What you'll need

· At least 3 years' experience installing solar PV

· Ability to install solar PV systems independently to a high standard

· Working at height qualification

· Confidence working on a range of roof types, including Slate using Genius mounting equipment using scaffolding, roof ladders and fall protection

· Full UK driving licence

· A professional, polite approach when working in customers' homes

Desirable

· CSCS card

· PASMA and/or IPAF certification

· NVQ Level 2 in a roofing discipline or NOCN PV roofing qualification

· Experience with in-roof systems and battery storage installations

· Knowledge of Ground mount, Commercial mounting systems,
