Full job description

BRC are seeking experienced and quality-driven Lead Solar PV installers to be part of our Solar PV installation team.

This is a “hands on” role, installing roof mounted solar PV panels.

Primarily this will be on commercial projects, but there is an expectation that the ideal candidate will have flexibility to assist on domestic properties where required.

We are seeking a Lead Solar PV installers with a positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethic with a proven track record in either commercial or domestic solar installation.

The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taking team player with the communication skills, energy and focus to support busy projects.

A good all-rounder who can work on-site with minimal supervision, whilst flourishing under pressure and thriving when faced with challenges.

The work of a Solar PV installer is varied and can include the following:

  • Installation of Solar PV Modules, associated mounting kit and cable containment on various roof types.
  • DC cable installation.
  • Working at height.
  • Involved in the preparation of site for safe working.
  • Movement of materials.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience.

  • Previous experience installing Solar PV systems.
  • Current CSCS or SSSTS/SMSTS card
  • Personable manner with the ability to communicate effectively with key people, customers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain focus on key tasks.
  • Time management skills essential.
  • Able to assess own performance and follow training direction.
  • Be flexible due to the diverse nature of the working environment and have the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience in working within a team, team environment.
  • Experienced in self-managing, prioritising workloads, and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Right to Work in UK
  • Telehandler (Beneficial)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
