About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Qualified Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team, installing high-end battery storage, solar PV, EV charging and bespoke energy management systems.

This isn't your typical electrical role.

You won't be carrying out repetitive installations day after day. Instead, you'll work on technically challenging, bespoke renewable energy projects that combine workshop assembly with on-site installation and commissioning.

From building advanced Victron battery storage systems in our workshop to installing complete energy systems for some of the UK's most prestigious residential and commercial properties, every project is different.

We also design and install intelligent energy management and automation systems, working alongside our in-house software team to deliver some of the most advanced renewable energy solutions available today.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with modern technology and take pride in producing exceptional workmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

Why Join Offgrid Pro?

  • Work on large, bespoke renewable energy projects—not repetitive domestic rewires.
  • Split your time between our workshop and customer sites.
  • Be involved with cutting-edge battery storage, solar PV, backup power and smart energy systems.
  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive team.
  • Genuine opportunities for progression as the company continues to grow.
  • Receive ongoing manufacturer and product training.

  • System commissioning and customer handovers.
  • Occasional UK-wide projects requiring overnight stays.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Minimum 1 year's post-qualification experience.

  • PAYE or CIS subcontractor options available.
  • Company van provided.
  • Specialist tools and test equipment supplied.
  • Stay-away allowance for projects requiring overnight accommodation.
  • Regular overtime available.
  • Ongoing manufacturer and renewable energy training.
  • Company workwear and PPE.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Summer and Christmas social events.
  • Long-term career progression within one of the UK's fastest-growing renewable energy companies.

Location & Travel

  • Based from our Southampton workshop.
  • Mixture of workshop and site-based work.
  • Travel throughout Southern England and occasionally nationwide.
  • Some overnight stays will be required, with a stay-away allowance paid.

If you're looking for more than just another electrical job and want to work on some of the UK's most advanced renewable energy systems, we'd love to hear from you.
