Job Summary

As a Trainee Solar Roofer, you’ll support the installation of solar panels on roofs, developing practical skills while contributing to safe, reliable renewable energy systems. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues, follow site instructions and take care with tools and materials.

Duties

  • Assist with preparing roof areas and moving equipment and materials safely.
  • Use hand tools and power tools under appropriate guidance to support installation tasks.
  • Help position and secure solar panels, keeping work areas tidy and following safe working practices.
  • Support colleagues with practical tasks and communicate clearly about progress or concerns.
  • Your impact: Careful preparation and teamwork help installation colleagues complete dependable solar systems for customers.

Experience

Required: Practical capability to use hand tools safely, follow instructions and work carefully at height as part of a team. Preferred: Familiarity with power tools and electrical work can support your development in the role; related practical experience is advantageous.
