Full job description

Green Bulb Energy is one of the fastest-growing residential solar companies in the South East. We install high-quality solar systems for homeowners and provide all warm leads directly to our sales team. No cold calling. No door-to-door. Real career progression.

We are now recruiting top-performing Solar Assessors to join our expanding team.

Compensation and Benefits

  • £75,000–£150,000 OTE | Commission-only initially
  • Uncapped commissions with performance tiers
  • Gym membership
  • Pension scheme
  • Paid training
  • Quarterly team events & incentives
  • Full equipment provided (tablet, measuring tools, branded gear)

Confident closing sales through knowledge, trust and a professional presentation? We want to hear from you.

Green Bulb Energy is an electrical engineering-led solar business, expanding into Canterbury and recruiting three sales representatives to cover primarily Kent.

This is a sales role, but pushy sales tactics aren’t our approach. We win business through accurate assessments, well-designed systems, high-quality presentations and reliable follow-up.

Our appointments come from our own marketing. Customers are expecting your visit—you won’t be arriving at cold appointments.

The role

  • Attend 2–3 pre-booked home appointments per day, primarily across Kent, with average driving time around 45 minutes per appointment.
  • Understand the customer’s electricity usage, priorities and reasons for considering solar.
  • Assess the property, take clear photographs and record accurate survey information covering the roof, electrical equipment and proposed installation.
  • Design suitable solar and battery systems and prepare proposals using OpenSolar.
  • Deliver a polished, professional presentation that explains the proposed system, pricing, estimated benefits and warranties clearly.
  • Answer questions, handle objections confidently and help customers reach a decision without pressure.
  • Stay on top of every follow-up, keeping promises, maintaining accurate records and progressing outstanding proposals.
  • Provide complete survey notes, photographs and agreed requirements to our installation team.

Who we’re looking for

  • A proven face-to-face closer, ideally with residential solar sales experience.
  • Someone who earns trust through their knowledge, preparation and professionalism.
  • Excellent time management, punctuality and commitment.
  • Strong presentation skills and the discipline to follow up consistently.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn our surveying and design standards.
  • OpenSolar experience is preferred, but not essential—full training is provided.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel across Kent.

What we offer

  • £75,000–£150,000 annual on-target earnings, dependent on sales performance.
  • Commission-only initially. For suitable candidates who successfully complete a three-month probation, we’re open to agreeing a basic salary plus commission if that arrangement suits them.
  • Pre-booked appointments generated through our own marketing.
  • Full training in our products, surveying process, OpenSolar and sales approach.
  • Ongoing support and backing from an electrical engineering-led team.
  • The opportunity to join a growing business as we expand into Canterbury

Why Work With Us?

  • We are a fast-growing company with genuine opportunities to progress into senior sales, team leadership, or management
  • We only use high-quality products backed by strong warranties
  • We provide consistent warm leads (no buying leads, no cold calling, no canvassing)
  • We reward hard work, commitment, and performance — not tenure

If you want to be part of a company where you can grow quickly and get paid extremely well for your results, this is the role.
